Dear Friend,
It has a sleeve which is better for us. We fill the back pocket too full and it breaks.
I know because I have done it. The sleeve is one piece of heavy stock paper that is folded in half and is the size of the calendar. The two edges are bound into the spiral and will not pull out. So you slide things in from the side not the inside back cover. I designed this so we could not tear it up with our SHEness.
